The world's BEST dog training technique: "The Holly-Jingle!"
Miss Zsa Zsa is quite attentive thanks to my new dog training technique, the “Holly-Jingle!”

Our precious pup, Miss Zsa Zsa (as in Gabor) is a two-year-old, English Jack Russell Terrier (our fourth one). She is a little darling, albeit, a rambunctious "terror”... aka for “terrier!” Zsa Zsa has been far from well behaved! Being a “covid time” puppy, she lacked socialization with other dogs. So, when I began walking her in Palm Beach, she went into a feisty attack mode, barking and growling when she spied another dog…. terribly embarrassing!

The “Holly-Jingle” is my dog training technique. It works like a CHARM! It’s simple, it’s humane, and my training device discreetly fits into my pocket, even my petite-sized handbags. I made a video with Zsa Zsa about it on my Instagram and it was so well received that I thought I should share it with you, too.
Take a sandwich Ziploc baggie, place 10+ coins in it and keep it with you at all times. That’s it!
I first tried this technique when I took Zsa Zsa for a walk and used it when she was not “heeling,” and only tugging on the lead. I tossed the bag down on the ground next to her. The sound scared her. In essence, I suddenly became the alpha dog, she succumbed and heeled. As we approached other dogs, I did the same thing and said the recommended command, “Leave It!” (I learned from the trainer that “ Leave It!” is a more persuasive command than “no” because the word “ittt” has a “t” ending, instead of the word “noooooo,” which has no ending.)
Now, I always have the little bag of coins with me. When needed, I quietly jingle it with my fingers, she hears the coins and behaves accordingly. Truly, it is like magic! On a plane, on a walk, in a restaurant, I just jiggle and jingle the coins, and she becomes obedient and submissive. It has been a game-changer.
